Authorities ID Elderly Woman Killed In Manhattan Beach Crash
She was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital, suffering from severe injuries, police said.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – Authorities released the name of an 85-year-old woman Thursday who was killed in Manhattan Beach when the car in which she was riding with her husband collided with a pickup truck.
The crash occurred about 12:15 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Cedar Way and Marine Avenue, according to Manhattan Beach police Sgt. Tim Zins.
Judith Jean Maloney of Hawthorne was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County coroner's office.

"According to witnesses, a male driving a white Ford F-150 was traveling east on Marine Avenue and turning right onto Cedar Way," Zins said.
"A burgundy Honda Accord driven by an elderly white male with his elderly wife in the passenger seat was traveling south on Cedar Way from the Manhattan Village Mall. The elderly male failed to stop for the red signal and collided into the Ford F-150."

The woman suffered severe injuries, Zins said.
Her husband sustained moderate injuries and the pickup truck driver received minor injuries, Zins said, adding that both were taken to a hospital.
