Color My World tribute to Chicago Introduces rock music infused with a Chicago sound for its entire audience. The makings of the Band started in the 60s and has undergone changes resulting into what the band is today. They are uniquely known to be free of the typical prerecorded tracks, or enhancements, only giving their listeners a live show and sound. There is soon to be a compilation of their Ultimate Greatest Hits released, containing popular songs from the 60s to the 90s telling Chicago’s story. Some of their songs have been featured in Happy Feet, My Girl 2, Little Nicky and more. Last summer the Band co-headlined and toured with Earth, Wind and Fire, and now they are here to celebrate with us at this year’s Concerts in the Park.
The concerts are free. Donations are accepted at most concerts, by mail or in-person at the Parks & Recreation Department in City Hall at 1400 Highland Ave. Sponsorships are also available by contacting Deborah Hom at (310) 802-5440. In addition to public park rules which prohibit pets, bikes, and bar-be-ques, spectators are not allowed to use video or recording equipment, reserve seating or solicit for business in compliance with Musicians Union regulations. For further information contact the Parks & Recreation Department at (310) 802-5417.
