A South Bay favorite, Darren’s Restaurant, was recently voted among Zagat’s “Top 50 Best Restaurants in Los Angeles” coming in at #25,
“We are very proud of our restaurant and the kudos that we are receiving since we reopened with an all new look and menu,” said Darren Weiss, chef/owner of Darren’s Restaurant.
“To be honored as one of the top 50 restaurants in Los Angeles, where diners have thousands of remarkable restaurants to choose from, is quite an honor. And, to have received the highest rating in Manhattan Beach is particularly special as the dining scene here has becoming increasingly dynamic.”

Darren’s Restaurant, which originally opened in 2007, underwent a complete renovation of both the space and the menu earlier this year. Chef-owner, Darren Weiss, who has been deaf since birth, flaunts his global culinary experience with his new menu, which boasts Mediterranean and Pacific Rim influences.
Zagat has been a trusted source of restaurant reviews for more than 30 years, with ratings that are based on the opinions of passionate diners. Restaurants are scored based on food, décor and service and all three categories are averaged to reflect the overall ranking.
