Don't Drink and Drive: Use Tipsy Tow

The free service will tow your vehicle while you ride in the cab. Please don't drink and drive, no matter what!

If you drink alcohol between now and 6 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 1, and are unable to or don't want to drive, call the free Tipsy Tow service offered by the Auto Club of Southern California.

The Tipsy Tow service is provided to keep anyone who's had any alcohol that could impair their driving judgment from getting behind the wheel of a vehicle. Tipsy Tow will provide a free ride home for drivers while their cars are towed along as well.

Drinking drivers can call 1-800-400-4AAA starting at 6 p.m. Friday and ending at 6 a.m. Sunday for the tow, and a regular Auto Club-contracted roadside service truck will be dispatched.

"Drivers should be aware of the high crash risk from drinking and driving associated with holidays and we encourage them not to get behind the wheel if they’ve been drinking," said the Auto Club’s senior researcher Steve Bloch in a statement.
