DUI/Driver License Checkpoint Coming Up In Manhattan Beach
The intent of the checkpoint is to encourage sober designated drivers," the Manhattan Beach Police Department said.
MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – The Manhattan Beach Police Department will conduct a DUI/Driver License checkpoint on Saturday, April 13 from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m.
"The purpose of the checkpoint is to promote public safety, increase the awareness of the dangers associated with drinking and driving, and deter impaired driving and unlicensed driving," the MBPD press release said. "The intent of the checkpoint is to encourage sober designated drivers."
Manhattan Beach police have a zero tolerance approach to enforcement, which sends a clear message to those who don't designate a sober driver before drinking, police said. If you are over the legal limit, you will be arrested, MBPD said.
