Dedicated to the memory of Dr. Christopher Mello, professor of jazz at El Camino College, this festival features jazz performances in styles ranging from swing to contemporary, to Latin and funk.

The 3rd Annual El Camino College Jazz Festival is a day-long celebration of live jazz music through education and performance activities. All day-time events are FREE of charge and open to the general public.

Bob Mintzer is a globally recognized jazz performer, composer, arranger and educator on the faculty of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, where he teaches jazz composition and saxophone, and directs the Thornton Jazz Orchestra. Mr. Mintzer will lead an afternoon masterclass and join forces with the El Camino Concert Jazz Band to open the evening gala.
