From the City of Manhattan Beach website: "Celebrate the season at the Welk Resort Theatre. Tucked away in a secluded valley, surrounded by rugged, unspoiled hillsides, lies Lawrence Welk’s 1,000-acre resort. Our tour starts with a leisurely drive through the Inland Empire to Escondido. Upon arrival at the Welk Resort, we will be treated to a sumptuous holiday luncheon at their award-winning restaurant. After lunch, we can take some time to take a peek at the mounds of memorabilia in the museum dedicated to the life of Lawrence Welk—from the days of the Hotsey Totsey Boys to the Honolulu Fruit Gum Orchestra. We’ll see the brand new holiday variety show titled, “Jingle Bell Rock” performed by an energetic, professional cast. The intimate theatre seats a mere 339, offering a perfect view of the stage from every seat in the house. After the show, we’ll stop at Tom’s Farms where you’ll have a chance to do some holiday shopping for everything from local wines to fresh fruits and baked goodies!"
