A native of Osaka, Japan, Chika Inoue is a recipient of first prizes at the Japan International League of Artists and the La Jolla Symphony & Chorus Young Artists Competition. She was invited as a guest artist for the International China Clarinet and Saxophone Music Festival in Taiwan to give recitals and masterclasses. Ms. Inoue has concertized at Walt Disney Concert Hall and Sumida Triphony Hall. A graduate of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music and California State University, Fresno, she is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the USC Thornton School of Music under James Rotter.
