Are you interested in creating beautiful and environmentally sound, climate-appropriate landscapes that use less water, create less pollution, and provide habitats for wildlife? These local landscapers will share their knowledge and experience gained creating numerous earth-friendly gardens in the South Bay. Discussions will include: Irrigation/rainwater harvesting methods for zero runoff; gardens that pay for themselves over time; lawn removal and reduction; urban habitat and pest management; the right plant choices; choosing non-toxic materials and the fossil fuel cycle; using recycled and local materials; and design mistakes to avoid.
