Free “Healing Hearts & Minds” Community Wellness Event Brings Hope & Connection to Hawthorne

Family-friendly Mental Health Awareness Month event aims to create connection, reduce stigma, and remind the community that no one is alone.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, the Rotary Club of Mental Health & Wellness and Rotary Club of Palos Verdes Sunset are partnering with local organizations, advocates, and volunteers to host Healing Hearts & Minds, a free family-friendly Mental Health & Wellness event on Saturday, May 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Richstone Family Center.

The event also builds upon conversations surrounding Child Abuse Prevention Month by creating supportive spaces centered around connection, healing, and community care for children and families.

Designed to create a joyful, welcoming, and uplifting space for the community, the event aims to help reduce stigma surrounding mental health while connecting individuals and families with supportive resources and meaningful experiences.
