Have You Seen These Bandits? You Could Earn $15K If You Have Information

Los Angeles City Council approved a reward for information regarding the "Thelma and Louise Bandits."

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – Los Angeles City Council approved a $15,000 reward today for information on the "Thelma and Louise Bandits," who are believed to be responsible for four bank robberies in the San Fernando Valley and another in Manhattan Beach. The crew consists of one black male and two black female suspects, and have robbed each bank at gunpoint, according to the motion, which was introduced by Councilman Mitchell Englander and approved on a 13-0 vote.

"Today the city of Los Angeles is sending a message that we won't ignore criminals who threaten the safety of residents and businesses in Los Angeles," Englander said in a statement when he introduced the motion in July. We're putting these criminals on notice that there is no safe hiding place and that we won't stop until justice is served."

The San Fernando Valley bank robberies occurred on June 15, June 22, June 27 and July 18 and the bank robbery in Manhattan Beach was on July 7. Their moniker, "Thelma and Louise Bandits" comes from a 1991 film about a female duo of robbers.
