Here's How To Participate In Earth Month In Manhattan Beach
There's a wide array of opportunities to make the Earth a better place.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – Yup, Manhattan Beach is celebrating Mother Earth in a big way – instead of a single day dedicated to our planet, there's an entire month's worth of activities and ways to get involved. If you're not already a recycling and composting expert, no worries. There are plenty of ways to get involved this month throughout the city.
Check out a beach cleanup, or maybe check out some Earth-focused movies at the Environmental Film Festival. The City of Manhattan Beach has planned a wonderful month of activities:
- 4/7 FREE Rain Barrel Giveaway at Mira Costa HS, 8AM
- 4/7 Zero Waste Fair & Expo @ Grand Park, 11AM-3PM
- 4/17 MB City Council Meeting – Update to MB Plastic Pollution Ordinance
- 4/19 Metropolitan Water’s Green Expo, 8:30AM-1PM
- 4/20 MB Sustainability Task Force Launch 10AM-12:30PM
- 4/21 MB Beach Cleanup with Surfrider South Bay, REI, & Hippy Tree @ South-side MB Pier, 9AM - Noon
- 4/21 Keep It Green, Keep It Clean Earth Day Celebration at the Roundhouse Aquarium, 10AM-5PM
- 4/21 Screening of Straws @ Joslyn Center, 3PM
- 4/21 KCET Earth Focus Environmental Film Festival @ Laemmle’s Monica Theatre, 10AM-6PM
- 4/22 Keep It Green, Keep It Clean Earth Day Celebration at the Roundhouse Aquarium, 10AM-5PM
- 4/26 MB City Staff Beach Cleanup (City Staff Only)
- 4/28 MB Prescription Drug Takeback @ MB police Dept., 10AM-2PM
