Korean Game Developer Pearl Abyss Moves To Manhattan Beach
Pearl Abyss Corp. will work on their most popular game, "Black Desert Online," at the new South Bay office.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – The South Korea-based game developer Pearl Abyss Corp. announced Wednesday it will move from a temporary office in Irvine to establish a full-time U.S. headquarters in Manhattan Beach.
The headquarters will be at the Onni Group Towers next to the Manhattan Beach mall, L.A. Business Journal reported. About 30-45 employees will work on the console and mobile publishing business of the company's most popular online multiplayer game "Black Desert Online," the news website reported. The game has more than 10 million PC users worldwide.
“The Manhattan Beach office will serve as an important regional office for Pearl Abyss’ continuing growth and success, and our self-publishing efforts in the western market,” said Pearl Abyss senior vice president Jeonghee Jin in a press release. “We have a large roster of talent to draw from in the Los Angeles area and look forward to the next phase of our growth in the global market.”

The company was founded in 2010 and "Black Desert Online" was released in 2014. It’s expected to come to consoles sometime in 2019, Variety reported.
