Lakers Honor Sailor at Mavs Game
Terry Delacruz received the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with four Gold Stars.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- U.S. Navy Master Chief Petty Officer Terry Delacruz was honored at Tuesday night's Los Angeles Lakers-Dallas Mavericks game at Staples Center as the team began its season-long "Salute to Our Troops" program.
Delacruz emigrated from the Philippines to the U.S. in 1984 and enlisted in the Navy in 1987. He served aboard the frigates USS Hepburn, USS Duncan and USS Wadsworth. He has been deployed to the Middle East, Asia and South America.
Delacruz received the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with four Gold Stars; the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal with four Gold Stars and the Navy Battle E Ribbon with Gold Star.
