Manhattan Beach City Events Coming Up This Week
Whether you'd like to attend a city planning meeting or see some local art, here's a roundup of all things Manhattan Beach this week.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — This week in Manhattan Beach, some exciting things are happening including summer concerts and free art activities. Check out the events the City has planned from today through the weekend:
Monday, July 10:
- 6:00 p.m.: Library Commission Meeting at City Council Chambers
- Southern California Gas Company Construction: Southern California Gas Company is working on their natural gas pipeline system in Manhattan Beach, El Segundo and Hawthorne, according to the City of Manhattan Beach calendar. The work involves installing a new pipeline as part of a project to enhance safety and reliability for customers in the area.
- Laurel Avenue Storm Drain Project: construction is anticipated to be completed by tomorrow. The contractor will be working between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- There's still time to apply for a SoCal Environmental Excellence and Development (SEED) award! Apply between now and July 31.

- 1:00 p.m.: Senior Advisory Committee (SAC) Meeting at Joslyn Community Center

- 6:30 p.m.: Planning Commission Meeting at Council Chambers. The meeting will include an update on historic preservation and the Planning Commission work plan.

- 2:30 p.m.: Art as Experience: Sculpture Design at Manhattan Beach Art Center Studio B. This is a FREE hands-on art activity for families with children ages 5 and up.
