Manhattan Beach Mall Moves Forward With Renovations
A settlement has been reached out of court between the anonymous opposition group and the project developer.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – The Manhattan Village mall redevelopment can now get underway after a settlement was reached between the anonymous opposition to the project and the project developer. The lawsuit was filed by opponents of the project in 2014, and was settled earlier this month after the city approved alternate construction plans in June, according to Curbed Los Angeles.
The developer, RREEF, aims to make the mall more free-flowing with open-air shops to connect visitors to the enclosed part of the mall, Daily Breeze reports. The plan includes almost 200,000 square feet of new construction and between 463 and 749 new parking spaces, Curbed Los Angeles reports. Some of the updates include consolidating the two Macy's stores and demolishing and relocating the California Pizza Kitchen, according to Daily Breeze.
