Manhattan Beach Woman Assaulted In Her Sleep, Suspect Unidentified

The woman suffered minor injuries to her face and shoulder, but the attacker's identity remains unknown.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — Authorities are still looking for a man that broke into a Manhattan Beach woman's home Saturday and repeatedly punched her as she slept, according to a Manhattan Beach Police Department press release. The woman, who lives near the 400 block of 29th Street, was not sexually assaulted during the attack. The suspect fled the area after the assault, and an investigation revealed that he likely entered the home through an unlocked or open window.

While the motive of the suspect is unknown, the victim suffered minor injuries to her face and shoulder, according to the press release. Anyone with information regarding this crime is encouraged to call the Manhattan Beach Police Department tip line at (310) 802-5171.
