MB Farmers Market Today

The Manhattan Beach Farmers Market happens every Tuesday, rain or shine.

Black cod, dandelion greens, falafel salad with garbanzo beans, raspberries and blueberries are just some of the goods you'll find at the Manhattan Beach Farmers Market taking place until 4 p.m. today downtown at 13th Street and Morningside Drive.

Dried persimmons, coconut macaroons, asparagus and English peas are also available from vendors who take pride in producing delicious, fresh products.

If you'd like meal selections, the market has tamales in pork, beef and other flavors, mad using zero lard resulting in no trans fat. Today, Dominico's has plenty of their famous dinners of Lasagna and Eggplant Parmesan, according to Susan Hillyer, market manager.

Hillyer reports that it is a "gorgeous day and Richie is singing and playing his guitar. Doesn't get much better in February, does it!"
