Mother's Market Opens In Manhattan Beach

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – Mother's Market & Kitchen, a natural and organic foods retailer, hosted its grand opening in Manhattan Beach Saturday. The new 16,000 sq. ft. grocery store and cafe, features fresh produce that is "always the highest grade and organic unless seasonally unavailable and always 100 percent non-GMO, delivered six days a week and rarely warehoused, and only when necessary to ripen," according to the Mother's Market press release

The grocery store also has a juice and coffee bar, full-service cafe, local beer and wine offerings, as well as vitamin, herb, mineral and sports nutrition selections.

“Mother’s Market & Kitchen selected Manhattan Beach as its next Los Angeles area location because the community is focused on health, quality of life and relationships,” said Deborah Rubino, Chief Integration Officer of Mother's Market. “We look forward to providing our new South Bay neighbors the highest quality organic produce, delicious and healthy prepared meals and a wide selection of supplements and specialty items to meet the needs of a variety of healthy diets.”

The new Mother’s Market Manhattan Beach store will also include a number of new products first to market in the Los Angeles area, like The Positive Cookie, a vegan and gluten-free L.A.-based cookie company, according to the press release. The cafe has a plant-based menu as well as selections of sustainable seafood certified organic and humane chicken and features an al fresco patio for dining, according to Mother's Market. Online ordering for pickup for both the restaurant and juice bar will be available to customers through ChowNow and the Mother’s Market website.

Saturday's grand opening celebration featured live music and a DJ, photo booth, tastings from local purveyors, new products, kids crafts and more. Excess produce and food from the event was donated to the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The Mother's Market Manhattan Beach store is located at 1700 Rosecrans Ave.
