New Medical Center Opens In Manhattan Beach
This emergency room alternative offers patients more medical services than a traditional walk-in urgent care, according to Exer.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – A new medical center, Exer More Than Urgent Care, is opening in Manhattan Beach today on the corner of N. Sepulveda Blvd and 33rd Street in Manhattan Beach. Exer is California's fastest growing privately-owned Emergency Room alternative, built and staffed by ER Doctors, the Exer press release said.
Exer offers patients more medical services than a traditional walk-in urgent care, including: X-ray, IV, Lab, Splinting, Laceration Rooms, Diagnostics, and more.
“Our goal at Exer More Than Urgent Care is to help people feel better, faster, and we are honored to open our doors here Manhattan Beach today,” said Rob Mahan, Exer More Than Urgent Care chief executive officer. “We are ready to provide the South Bay with a convenient and affordable alternative to the Emergency Room, ideal for when conditions become urgent or serious but
are non-life- threatening.”

Nearly one-third of ER visits in California are not considered to be true medical emergencies, Mahan said. At Exer, the staff can stabalize and treat more than 80 percent of cases seen in a local ER with less waiting, and for a better price, he added.
Providence, the third largest not-for-profit health care system in the U.S., is working closely with Exer to help bring emergency medicine directly in to more Southern California communities. The partnership helps patients access much-needed healthcare while saving time and money, ultimately easing the strain on local emergency departments in areas Exer serves, Mahan said.
