Playful Waves Could Make Your Day
Find some time for a surfing session. The waves are pretty good.

Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your Manhattan Beach Patch surf report. Well, if you've got a window in between appointments, then go grab a few. Yep, we're seeing plenty of playful size waves, but we're lacking a little in the shape department.
It's fairly clean or light offshore, with a combo of some decent west northwest swell, a little northwest energy and minor dose of southwesterly swell in the background.
That recipe is providing some fast semi-walled lines, with a few scattered shoulders to snag. Most Manhattan Beach spots are hanging in the waist to chest high range, with the top breaks pulling some shoulder high plus sets.

Taking a look at those tides...at 10:50 later this morning, it drops to a 1.1 low and then doesn't push back up to a 4.6 high until 3:34 early Saturday morning, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. So, basically you're not going to see much change and many spots will be lacking water throughout the day.
If you're planning on paddling, get out at least a 3/2 fullsuit or the 4/3 and possibly the booties, with the water temp hanging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
