What is the city's most important issue? Parking. We just had issues. I mean we live here and it took us about 30 minutes to find parking.

If you could change one thing about Manhattan Beach, what would it be? Better restaurants—I think that a lot of the restaurants here are very high end. We're used to hole-in-the-wall restaurants that have really great food. We lived in Torrance before, which is a bigger city and a lot more diverse in terms of what the restaurants offer. I'm looking for a lot more ethnic cuisine, where you go in and pay 15 bucks and get something really original and authentic.

What is your favorite Manhattan Beach memory? We haven't done much in the city yet. I like all the activities the city has to offer the kids—you know, the classes. My son just graduated kindergarten from Pennekamp and he was the big bad wolf in the Little Piggy Opera. It was sort of a starring role and he got to sing and perform. That was really a great introduction for us in terms of the school system.

Name something you've always wanted to do out here but have been too busy to try. Come to the beach—this is my first day since we moved here back in November. We also want to do the Concerts in the Park, but we haven't yet.

Where is your favorite place in town to eat, shop or relax? Tutti Frutti, that's our favorite. We go there at least three times a week.

Describe Manhattan Beach in three words. Fun, expensive and family-friendly.
