MANHATTAN BEACH, CA — One early morning, Manhattan Beach resident Nikki Ridley was taking a stroll along the beach when she stopped to capture this moment under the pier.

"Being an early riser has its advantages, both for the photographer and the surfers," Ridley said. "My happy place is Manhattan Beach."
