Rope & White Powder No Threat At LAX: Officials
A HazMat team determined the package bound for the Philippines was not hazardous.

LOS ANGELES – A hazardous-materials team was sent Monday to inspect some rope, with white powder on it, on a parcel destined for an overseas flight at Los Angeles International Airport and determined there was no hazard, authorities said.
The parcel was discovered late Monday morning in a secure inspection area between the Tom Bradley International Terminal and Terminal 3.
It was intended to be placed on a flight to the Philippines, said Airport Police Officer Rob Pedregon.
