$5K Health Grants Open To Beach Businesses, Residents
The Micro Enrichment Grants will be awarded to boost health initiatives for Redondo, Hermosa & Manhattan beach cities.
REDONDO BEACH & HERMOSA BEACH, CA — Applications now are open for the Beach Cities Health District's Micro Enrichment Grants —financial grants up to $5,000 that support preventive health services and initiatives for local businesses and residents
The application period runs through Nov. 20, with grant awardees announced in December. Individuals or groups applying must be legal residents of, or provide services to, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach.
Grants are awarded to programs that address such health agendas as nutrition and exercise, social-emotional health, substance use and cognitive health. Multiple projects may be bundled on one application, but can not exceed $5,000, sponsors said.

"The project must impact the health of the community within the scope of the BHCD health priorities," the organization said.
Beach Cities Health District is a public agency that serves the communities of Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach with health and wellness programs, while also operating AdventurePlex in Manhattan Beach and the Redondo Beach Center for Health & Fitness.
