SANDPIPERS’ TEAMWORKS – DAY AT THE BEACH

Hermosa Beach, CA- Sandpipers partnered with Los Angeles Team Mentoring (LATM) to host the TeamWorks beach party for 76 middle school students as part of LATM’s after school enrichment program for at risk youth. These extraordinary students worked hard throughout the year and earned this reward.  Activities included lunch, surfing, other beach activities as well as a photo booth complete with an array of props. For many of these teens, this was their first trip to the beach!

LATMs' mission is to guide middle school students growing up in challenging urban environments to recognize and reach their full potential as members of their community. Through a school-based approach to mentoring, young adolescents are given the tools and support necessary to make positive choices during a critical period in their lives.
