South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide December 26, 2019
The South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide offers comprehensive coverage of the greater South Bay area.

Okay, everybody, here we are at the end of yet another decade. Dang, time sure flies! I l know it’s a tradition to make New Year’s resolutions, but they always seem to entail some form of struggle – like you have to suffer to improve yourself. I’ve never subscribed to that ideology and prefer to focus on what feels good. You know what makes me feel good? Doing something for others. Whether it’s a monetary donation or volunteering your time or lending an ear or assisting an elderly person or mentoring a child – these are the things that, in the end, will bring YOU joy. So, here’s to a joyous, roaring, 2020!!!
The Jokers will be throwing an ###strong tonight, Thursday, December 26 from 7:30 to 11 p.m. at PV Bowl’s Cove Bar. It’s a great way to relax after the holidays, having hosted lots of family, big dinners and big clean-ups. They’ll be playing favorite dance/pop tunes from your growing up years, so come on down and plan on having fun with friends and the band. If you are going to attend, send them your favorite oldie. If they know it, good chance they’ll put it on the song list and dedicate it to you and your friends. The Jokers are big on birthdays too and love to sing a hearty Sheriff John and/or Beatles Happy Birthday to you. No cover charge! To learn more about The Jokers, visit the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/The-Jokers-1969396543158056/. PV Bowl’s Cove Bar (21 and over) is located at 24600 Crenshaw Boulevard, between Skypark Drive and Lomita Boulevard in Torrance.
