St. Patrick's Day Food and Drink and Gelato!

There's no shortage of places to hang for a fun and festive St. Paddy's Day.

Irish eyes may be smilin' but what are Irish tummies taking in on St. Patrick's Day?

If you've got a penchant for celebration and good ol' Irish favorites, remember to wear green when you head out to any of these spots.

  1. Beckers Bakery & Deli: Beckers Bakery will be getting Manhattan Beach into the holiday mood as they serve up green treats all day long.  Doughnuts, pastries, cookies, cakes and more will be decorated green. 
  2. Paciugo Gelato: This popular gelato spot on Hermosa Avenue in Hermosa Beach will combine beer and the sweet Italian treat on St. Patrick’s Day.  will offer three new Irish-Italian-inspired flavors—Beer Chill, Guinness Irish Stout and Chocolate Guinness.
  3. OB’s Pub and Grill:  The North Manhattan Beach watering hole opened this morning at 6 a.m. and has extended its regular Happy Hour until 7 p.m. in honor of St. Patrick’s snake-ousting skills. They have all sorts of drink specials going on, including $1 shots and are serving corned beef and cabbage, in addition to their regular menu items such as Irish Nachos.
  4. Grunions Sports Bar & Grill: The official quote from Grunion’s on their St. Patrick’s Day specials goes something like, “We’ll be serving enough beer and whiskey to make the Irish proud.” You can back your Irish Whiskey shots with green beer specials all day and night at this Sepulveda Blvd. (aka PCH) hangout.
  5. Hennessey’s Tavern: Manhattan Beach's Irish tavern is offering corned beef and hash and Stella Artois, Budweiser, Guinness and the like.
  6. Sharkeez Manhattan Beach: If you’re feeling festive, Sharkeez Manhattan Beach will reward you handsomely. The North Manhattan Beach hangout will put you to the front of the line as long as you don your best green garb to represent St. Paddy’s. Cash and prizes will be given out all day long, and you can sip your green beer while taking in the first day of March Madness on one of Sharkeez 50 HD televisions. Two for one drink specials from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Table reservations are available. 
  7. Sharks Cove Bar & Restaurant: March Madness, Club Clove and St. Patrick's Day festivities combine at this upscale sports bar restaurant that features 54 HD LCD TVs. There's no cover and local DJs will spin old school, hip-hop, dance and other fun favorites. Bud Light is $4 during Happy Hour 3-7 p.m. There's bottle service in the patio lounge. You can reserve tables in the VIP Lounge. Shot specials and Late Night Happy Hour on draft beers (18 on tap).
  8. Patrick Molloys: Patrick Molloys on Pier Avenue is serving Irish stew, corned beef and cabbage, and corned beef and Reuben sandwiches, along with pints and pints of the good stuff all day.
  9. Saint Rocke: The PCH music house, , will showcase Irish tunes on St. Patrick’s Day with a U2 tribute show at 8 p.m.
