Steven Blake Named Chief Financial Officer of Avanti Hospitals

El Segundo, Calif. – Avanti Hospitals, which owns and operates Memorial Hospital of Gardena, Community Hospital of Huntington Park, Coast Plaza Hospital, and East LA Doctors Hospital, announced today that it has appointed Steven Blake, FHFMA, CPA, CGMA, as Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Blake brings to Avanti over 30 years of experience in multi-hospital financial management. Most recently, he served as President and Owner of a California Licensed Accountancy Corporation and as CFO and Executive Vice President of Integrated Healthcare Holdings, Inc. (IHHI). For more than 17 years, Blake served as Regional Vice President of Finance for Tenet Healthcare. In this position, he was responsible for the financial management of numerous Tenet assets covering five western states (California, Arizona, Washington, Nebraska and Texas).

Blake is past president for the Southern California Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Health Care Expert Panel, and a former trustee for the California Hospital Association.

Blake earned both his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Washington.
