Two Arrested For Allegedly Stealing Truck, $15,000 Worth Of Tools
The victim found his construction tools listed on the website 'OfferUp,' and contacted Torrance police.

TORRANCE, CA – Two men were arrested Wednesday for allegedly stealing a truck that was carrying about $15,000 worth of construction tools in Torrance and then trying to sell the items online, police said.
John Yeater, 37, of Lawndale, and 24-year-old Anthony Hobbs, who is homeless, were arrested Tuesday and booked on suspicion of felony vehicle theft, the Torrance Police Department reported. Each was held on $20,000 bail.
The crime occurred between Sunday night and Monday morning in the 4400 block of Torrance Boulevard, where the victim had parked his 1997 GMC work truck loaded with tools, police said.

"The victim later found his property was being listed on the website `OfferUp,' and alerted the police department," according to a police statement.
Investigators arrested the men and recovered some of the stolen tools, police said. The truck was found abandoned in the city of Los Angeles.
