Voice Your Opinion On The Manhattan Beach Budget For 2018-2020
The Community Budget Social on Jan. 30 is an opportunity for residents to voice their opinions about where the money should be spent.

MANHATTAN BEACH, CA – The City of Manhattan Beach invites its residents to attend the Community Budget Social for the 2018-2020 budget on Jan. 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Joslyn Community Center. There will be a light dinner and the opportunity to learn more about the City’s upcoming two-year budget.
This social marks the beginning of Manhattan Beach’s two-year budget process and is the perfect time for the public to identify new priorities or needs that should be incorporated, according to a City of Manhattan Beach press release. Residents will be able to socialize with City staff to learn more about how money is allocated within the city, and identify where they'd like to see more services. Each participant will have the opportunity to show whether they would like to “enhance,” “maintain,” or “reduce” the services provided, the press release said. This information will be given to the City Council in order to help inform their decisions on the FY 2018-2020 budgets.
The City will use the Pillars of Success from the Manhattan Beach Strategic Plan to help shape the budget as they have in previous years, the press release said. The pillars are:
