Workshop Will Teach You How to Reduce Your Trash Footprint

The South Bay Environmental Services Center in conjunction with South Bay Adult School will be offering a FREE Workshop, Moving Toward a Zero Waste System on Monday, Sept. 29, from 7-9 p.m. at South Bay Adult School 701 S. This class explores the concept of zero waste, source reduction, with an introduction to composting, and features experts from the Sanitation Districts of LA County and Grades of Green.

Zero waste is a philosophy that redesigns our systems and resource use, from product design to disposal, to prevent wasteful and polluting practices.

The system then captures discards and uses them, rather than natural resources, to make new products, therefore creating less pollution while feeding the local economy.
