• 'Ski Mask Rapist' Richard Stobaugh Dies (northcoastjournal.com) — Manila residents are now definitively spared from having convicted serial rapist Richard Stobaugh housed in a local single-family home, after he died Sept. 10 at Coalinga State Hospital while appealing a ruling that kept him in custody. Local law enforcement and prosecutors, who had opposed his conditional release and organized community outreach in Manila, say his death ends the threat of his return and hope it brings some peace to survivors.
