Aloha Poké Co. Coming To Marina Del Rey

The Chicago-based Poké shop is planning to expand with a new Marina del Rey location in its future.

MARINA DEL REY, CA – A Chicago-based build-your-own Poké bowl restaurant, Aloha Poke Co., is set to expand and open up a new location in Marina del Rey soon. Aloha Poké first opened in Chicago in March 2016, according to Chicago Tribune, and now has four locations in the area with six locations set to open.

Aside from more Chicago locations, the company plans to expand to Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, along with four in California: Century City, Marina del Rey, Costa Mesa, and San Diego.

Aloha's build-your-own poké bowls includes customizing meals by choosing between rice or mixed greens, then adding a protein (sashimi-grade tuna, salmon or tofu) along with other toppings, vegetables, sauces, and seasonings, according to OnMilwaukee.

"We are so excited that poké has swept the country in such a huge way, and we're confident that it's more than just a trend – that people have fully integrated poké bowls into their weekly eating habits," said co-founder Zach Friedlander, in a press release.
