Burned Body Found In Bathtub Of Del Rey Home
Firefighters went to the home on a report of a fire when they found the woman's burned body.
DEL REY, CA – Firefighters found a woman's burned body in a bathtub in a home in the Del Rey area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The firefighters went to the 11900 block of West Weir Street at 9:42 a.m. on a report of a fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
"Firefighters made entry to find smoke and a deceased person inside the home in a room with fire damage, but no active flames," LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange said.

Arson investigators and Los Angeles Police Department officers were sent to investigate.
LAPD Sgt. Mark Griego told reporters that the body, found in a bathtub, was that of a female and was burned. Information was not immediately available on her identity, or whether foul play was involved in the death.

Police told reporters at the scene that a note was found at the location.
