With work, school, or family, exercising often gets put down at the very bottom of your priority list. That said, exercising is still a very important part of being healthy. If you’re just starting to exercise, here are some fantastic tips to help you on your fitness journey.
1. Exercise Daily
If someone were to ask you if it were easier to exercise three times a week or seven, you’d likely chose the first option. In actuality, that isn’t quite true. It is much easier to exercise when you’re making it a habit. Exercising habitually leads to success since humans are more likely to follow through on something they do often. Limiting yourself to three days a week of exercise makes it easier for you to take a few days off, which in turn could become a few weeks off and then even a month off.
2. Eat Healthy
Make sure that you are keeping track of what you are eating. You don’t have to be obsessive, so don’t read the back of packages intensely to see whether or not something has enough vitamin B6. Just make sure you’re not eating processed foods that are masquerading as being healthy. Also make sure to eat more fruits and vegetables, in addition to make meat a side dish instead of a main course.

3. Work Harder, Not Longer
Once you’re in the habit of exercising daily, you’ll probably get to the point where you plateau in weight loss or muscle gain. In reaction to this, some people will decide that they need to work out for a longer period of time. Don’t do this! Working out for longer than sixty to ninety minutes can severely affect the results of your workout. Instead, make sure that you’re lifting heavier or doing faster cardio in your regular workout time; this will get you the results you’re looking far.
