Firefighters Knock Down Apartment Fire In Westchester

WESTCHESTER, CA — Firefighters knocked down flames in the rear unit of a two-story garden-style apartment building early Tuesday in Westchester, officials said.

The fire broke out about 8:50 a.m. at 8420 S. Fordham Road, just north of W. 85th Street, Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Flames were knocked down by 9:09 a.m. Stewart said.
