Take a break and let the Girl Scouts do you a Holiday Good Deed! The Girl Scouts of Westchester / del Rey will once again offer gift wrapping for donations at the Sports Chalet in Marina del Rey. Located at the lower level parking lot, girls from 5th grade to high school are available to wrap gifts. Starting today, Dec. 11, and for this weekend they will be available from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. Then on December 18 to the 24 they will be wrapping at various times, morning, noon and evening.The various troops use the money earned to purchase equipment, fund trips and various service projects. Stop by and let them do this chore for you!  Questions on hours, call Sue Skaggs at 310/210-1362.  or e-mail theskaggs501@ca.rr.com.

Some nights on the Santa Monica Pier just feel like summer. Thursday, May 21 is one of them, as Locals’ Night returns for its spring season finale from 3:30 to 10 p.m., bringing together live music, storytelling, classic cars, and community celebration across the Pier in one unforgettable evening—free and open to all ages. 
This special edition also marks the beginning of Pacific Park’s 30th anniversary celebration, with select moments woven into the evening, including a community “thank you” tribute on the Ferris wheel and the debut of Sweet Rose Creamery for guests.
“Locals’ Night is about community first—bringing people together to celebrate the stories, culture, and energy that make Santa Monica so special,” said Jim Harris, Executive Director and Historian of the Santa Monica Pier. “This finale captures everything we love about the Pier, with a few extra moments that make the night even more meaningful.”

Rick Crocker 5K Run presented by Santa Monica PAL
3:30 – 5:30 p.m.| Ocean Front Walk, Santa Monica Pier 
Celebrating Fleet Week and honoring the legacy of Rick Crocker, this special activation features Navy and Marine Corps service members participating in the Rick Crocker 5K Run as part of Locals’ Night that includes bagpiper performance and race announcements.

Join Kids On Stage this summer for our fun-filled Summer Camps! Each camp brings something new!&nbsp; Camps are a joyful, inspiring place for youth and teen actors to explore, create, and shine on stage.
Kids On Stage (since 1987!) offers high-quality musical theatre camps in a supportive, non-competitive setting. Each thoughtfully themed camp blends acting, singing, movement, and ensemble fun with guidance from experienced theatre professionals.
Campers work closely with a professional teaching artist who guide campers to help develop theatre and performance skills, vocal performance, and movement, while enjoying a joyful exploration of a popular musical theme.
