The former NFL tight end and husband of Olympic soccer star Hope Solo was given early release for good behavior after three days in jail.

Jerramy Stevens, a former NFL tight end and husband of Hope Solo the starting goalie for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team, was released from jail today after serving just three days of a 30-day sentence for his conviction of drunken driving.

Stevens, 35, had surrendered to authorities at the Torrance courthouse on Thursday and was released at 1:12 p.m. from custody, according to L.A. County jail records. TMZ, the entertainment news network, broke the story.

Stevens was released early, according to authorities because of good behavior behind bars, according to TMZ.

Stevens, who played for the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was arrested in Manhattan Beach on January 19 for alleged drunken driving while piloting the Team USA soccer van. His wife, Hope Solo, was a passenger in the van at the time and was not jailed.

The former football player has had several run-ins with the law over the last 15 years. Those arrests and convictions included reckless driving, hit- and-run and driving under the influence, according to the Daily Breeze. He was also arrested for punching bouncers, and domestic violence involving his wife.

Solo recently had domestic violence charges dropped against her, after she was accused of beating her half sister and a nephew.

Stevens is now on four years probation and must complete a two-year outpatient alcohol treatment program, according to TMZ.
