Hopkinson Smith Concert

Internationally recognized as a leading personality in the field of early music, and one of the world’s great lutenists, Hopkinson Smith has been at the forefront of the early music and lute revival since the 1970’s. He has been called the most moving of present-day lutenists. He approaches the lutes universe with the musicality that goes far beyond the seemingly limited voice of his instrument. Hopkinson Smith will be performing his transcriptions of three of the Bach Cello Suites for 14-course German theorbo.
