Hotcakes Bakes Has Marina del Rey's Best Cupcakes

The best cupcakes can be found at . The bakery, right on the Del Rey and Mar Vista border won the contest in both Patches. 

This little local bakery won the Food Network's "cupcake wars" in 2009 with their tres leches spicy mango cupcake topped with horchata frosting.

One reviewer on Yelp! said, "I love the tres leches mango, chocolate banana (the cake doesn't taste overwhelmingly banana-candy flavored, unlike a lot of banana confections I've tried- win!), red velvet, strawberry and pistachio."

Another Yelp! reviewer wrote, "had the mocha cupcake which was bursting with rich and bold espresso notes."

With an assortment of flavors that include, red velvet, chocolate with chocolate frosting, chocolate with vanilla frosting, lemon, vanilla with chocolate frosting, coconut, vanilla with vanilla frosting, strawberry, mint chocolate chip, English toffee, homemade carrot cake, cookies and cream, mocha espresso, chocolate peanut butter and more, Hotcakes truly has a cupcake for every taste.
