Together, the two groups organized and created a special event, inviting members, individuals, and supporters from both organizations to join.
Participants met near Mother’s Beach and enjoyed a paddle around the marina for several hours, allowing for everyone to not only enjoy the water, but the gorgeous weather, creating another successful event for both The Kayak Club and Reef Check.
“I could’nt think of a better way to honor this holiday but on the water with another great organization and group of people”, said Josh Wolfson, one of The Kayak Club’s founding members. “Not only was it a fantastic way to fundraise for a wonderful cause to support Reef Check and celebrate World Oceans Day, but what a cool way to spend my Sunday afternoon. I can’t wait to do it again!”, explained Josh.
