Marina Del Rey Gasoline Prices Drops Slightly Heading Into Weekend; Where to Fill Up for Less
The average price is one-tenth of a cent less than one week ago but 4.8 cents more than one month ago, 23.5 cents higher than one year ago.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Friday, remaining at $3.071 after dropping two-tenths of a cent each of the past two days.
The average price is one-tenth of a cent less than one week ago but 4.8 cents more than one month ago, 23.5 cents higher than one year ago and 25.1 cents above what it was on Jan. 1, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The Orange County average price dropped six-tenths of a cent to $3.054, one day after decreasing two-tenths of a cent. It is two-tenths of a cent less than one week ago but 4.3 cents more than one month ago, 24 cents higher than one year ago and 23.7 cents above what it was on Jan. 1.

"Gas prices in many Southern California areas are at their highest levels of the year, but that's only about 20 to 25 cents higher than the lowest prices of the year in January," said Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California's corporate communications manager.
"We've experienced a remarkably stable spring for gas prices for the second year in a row and whether prices rise or fall from here will depend on whether local refineries continue to produce needed local supply."
