Marina del Rey Hospital Finalizes Contract with Nurses
The newly signed agreement allows for wage increases and retention bonuses, hospital officials announced.
Marina Del Rey Hospital announced that it has finalized a contract with the California Nurses Association, effective earlier this month.
The newly signed contract allows for the implementation of wage increases and retention bonuses, hospital officials announced. The nurses contract also enables the hospital to offer additional training programs and other continuing education opportunities for the nursing staff.
"The new wage and benefit package demonstrates the contributions of our nursing staff and supports the long-term viability of the hospital," Chief Nursing Officer Paulette Heitmeyer said.

The finalization of the contract demonstrates Marina Del Rey Hospital’s dedication to its valued employees that work hard to provide patient care each day, Heitmeyer added.
The CNA contract follows the hospital’s agreement with the Service Employees International Union that was finalized in late 2013, officials said.
