Marina Development Plans Now Online

Los Angeles County has launched a new website to showcase the $41 million public infrastructure improvement program underway in Marina del Rey.

The county’s Departments of Public Works and Beaches and Harbors are working together on a “comprehensive program of much needed public infrastructure improvements in Marina del Rey” according to a statement on the county’s new website for the project.

The upgrades will cost $41 million which will go to improving streets for anticipated increased traffic flow, improving water and sewer systems and developing new recreational opportunities in the Marina.

The county statement also says the upgrades will “address resident and local business concerns about groundwater infiltration, flood protection, pavement condition and odor control.”

The site includes a map with links to projects and descriptions of each including road, waterline, water shed and sewer projects. It also has information on the seawall refurbishment, tide gate, boathouse  projects and the developments at Del Rey Shores, Tahiti Marina, the Marina City Club and the Archstone Breakwater.
