New Census Data on Marina del Rey Coming Tuesday
The U.S. Census Bureau is releasing new information on the country's population, including block by block data sets.

Marina del Rey residents will get a chance to see how the neighborhood has changed over the past 10 years when the U.S. Census Bureau publicizes results from the 2010 count later today.
In 2000, the census listed Marina del Rey as having a population of 8,176.
The Census Bureau did release state population figures in December 2010 that indicate the population of California has grown by 10 percent during the last decade, from 33.9 million residents in 2000 to 37.3 million in 2010. Though California’s growth rate by percentage makes it the 20th fastest-growing state in the country, it remains the most populous state.
