Police Identify Victim of Fatal Del Rey Shooting

The Del Rey shooting killed the man now identified by police, and wounded a middle-aged woman.

DEL REY, CA – The coroner's office Tuesday identified a man killed in a shooting in the Del Rey area of west Los Angeles that also wounded a woman. The man was Roberto Saucedo, 67, of Culver City, according to coroner's Lt. Larry Dietz.

Officers were summoned at 6:20 pm. Sunday to the 11800 block of Wagner Street, Los Angeles Police Department Detective Meghan Aguilar told City News Service. The man now identified as Saucedo was pronounced dead at the scene and a middle-aged woman was taken to a hospital in serious condition, Aguilar said.

The man suspected of shooting the two victims fled the scene, she said. The motive for the attack was "not apparently gang-related," Aguilar said.
