Police Seek Info On 2016 Fatal Shooting In Marina Del Rey

A 45-year-old homeless man was gunned down on March 20, 2016, and died weeks later in the hospital.

MARINA DEL REY, CA – Authorities are asking for the public's help Thursday with any information regarding a 2016 shooting in Marina del Rey that killed a 45-year-old homeless man.

Ruben Martinez-Morales was gunned down about 12:15 p.m. on March 20, 2016, on Panay Way near Via Marina, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

He died weeks later at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, the sheriff's department reported.

Known to have been homeless, Martinez-Morales may have been living and or working in the Florence-Firestone area near South Los Angeles at the time he was killed.
