When a burglary alarm went off at a Manhattan Beach home, police responded and found 80 pounds of marijuana and several guns.

Manhattan Beach police responding to an audible burglary alarm at a home discovered a large amount of marijuana inside, along with several weapons, and made one arrest, an officer said today.

Police were dispatched to the home in the 1300 block of Marine Avenue at 4 p.m. Tuesday and, after a check of the exterior for signs of a crime, found an unlocked rear sliding door and entered the residence to see if any unauthorized people were inside, said Officer Stephanie Martin.

They found 80 pounds of marijuana, an assault rifle, three handguns and $10,000 in cash after obtaining a search warrant, she said.
