Sabato Rodia's Towers in Watts: An Exhibition and Book Publication Celebration

All are invited to celebrate the publication of a seminal collection of essays on one of Los Angeles's cultural treasures, the Watts Towers

All are invited to celebrate the publication of a seminal collection of essays on one of Los Angeles’s cultural treasures, the Watts Towers. This occurs in conjunction with an exhibition of vintage photos of the Towers curated by Jo Farb Hernandez (Director, Natalie and James Thompson Art Gallery, San Jose State University) and Paul Harris (LMU Professor of English), who have essays in the volume. All photographs in the exhibition are by Seymour Rosen (c) SPACES - Saving and Preserving Arts and Cultural Environments.

Editor Luisa Del Giudice’s presentation will examine Sabato Rodia’s Watts Towers within the contexts of art and culture, migrations, as well as the Watts Towers Common Ground Initiative, while introducing the current campaign to designate the Watts Towers as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Copies of Sabado Rodia’s Towers in Watts will be available for sale and signing.
